After my Teen Blemish Prone Skin #1 I thought it was about  time I brought you the second in the series. Within this post I shall be talking about affordable products which I recommend you go buy. The field I know best (as it is my skin type) is oily skin however all of these products are good for all skin-types. They will aim to decongest and hydrate the skin: the two main aims of skincare (in my opinion). If you have sensitive skin then be wary of certain items however I will specify which.

In some sections I shall recommend specific products, in others it may just be skincare brands I trust and know are affordable and available in Boots/Superdrugs/Supermarkets as they offer a line of products to suit specific needs and skin types. However, remember to still check the ingredient list as even though some brands are amazing, they might have one or two not-so-great products. To specify by affordable, I mean £20 and under.

Brands
  • Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit line
  • La Roche Posay
  • Avene
  • Boots - Botanics
  • Vichy
  • Soap and Glory
  • The Body Shop Vitamin E line and The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil line
  • Superfacialist by Una Brennan

All of these brands provide great options for cleansers, moisturisers, masks and others (such as serums and oils). Shop around online or ask a sales assistant to advise you and read the ingredient list. Think about what your skin needs and what your budget is and find the perfect products for you. I feel confident leaving you in the hands of these brands, they will care for you! Any other specific product (whose line isn't so great) shall be listed below.

Cleansers
  • Good Things Fresh Start Creamy Cleanser £4.99 - a nice soothing cleanser. Massage in and allow it to breakdown your make-up then remove with a flannel.
  • If all else fails, use a Dove soap bar!
  • Dr Jart Bubble Foam £13 - use as your morning cleanser or (if you have one) your clarisonic!

Moisturisers
  • E45 Cream £6.99 - standard, fuss-free moisturiser.

Masks
  • Good Things Five Minute Facial Mask £5.99 - packed with fruit oils to hydrate the skin!
  • The Body Shop  Honey and Oat Face Mask - honey has great antibacterial properties and soften the skin.
  • Soap and Glory Fab Pore Facial Peel Mask £10 - great de-congesting mask to tackle those blemishes.
Hopefully this has helped narrow your search a little, don't be afraid to take your time and research products online or ask people you know what they use and which brands they like. You never know, your mother might have a few products lying around for you to try out!

Next in the series shall be: investing, persistence and commitment and the future
This post I shall introduce some items which are incredible, yet a little pricey and some of my ultimate skincare brands. If you can, learn to invest. Wouldn't you rather clear skin than another pair of shoes? I thought so. Plus, persistence and commitment is key and what to do in the future.
